Alaska Dental Society: Empowering Dentists
Through Innovation and Connection
The Alaska Dental Society
(ADS) helps dentists succeed through education, technology, and
community. As part of the American Dental Association’s tripartite
system, ADS connects Alaska’s dental professionals to national resources
while addressing local needs.
By
fostering collaboration between dentists, labs, and technology
partners, ADS bridges the gap between clinical care and dental
innovation. This year, we’re focused on smarter business practices,
professional growth, and stronger partnerships that elevate patient care
and advance the profession statewide.
ADS Newsletter – November 2025
Nov 5, 2025
This month’s newsletter reinforces the importance of staying engaged in organized dentistry at both the state and national level.
This month’s Alaska Dental Society newsletter highlights how organized dentistry shapes the future of the profession. One major focus is on the American Dental Association’s House of Delegates (HOD) — the national body where policies and professional standards are debated and established. It’s here that decisions are made that influence everything from patient access to care, to insurance policy, to clinical and ethical guidelines. The newsletter emphasizes that Alaska’s presence in these discussions is essential, ensuring that the unique needs of rural practice, dental workforce challenges, and telehealth realities are represented.
