Care Credit is a private firm that works with a growing number of ADS member dentists to assist patients finance unexpected or extensive treatment. Ask your dentist if they participate in the Care Credit program or call 1-800-300-3046 and ask about the program and how your dentist can participate or for Alaska Dental Society members who are part of the program.

Donated Dental Services
Also known as the DDS program, it provides dental care to Alaska 's developmentally disabled, chronically mentally ill and elderly. Preference in selection is provide to the developmentally disabled.

Publicly Funded Programs:
Low income Alaskans can apply for dental coverage provide by the state's Medicaid program and the Denali KidCare program.
Medicaid:
Dental benefits are available to all Medicaid eligible children 21-years-old and under through the EPSDT (Early Periodic Screening and Diagnostic Testing) Program. The state's Medicaid program also provides limited dental benefits to adults 22-years-old and older.
Application for Medicaid benefits, either for children through EPSDT or for adults must be made through the state's Medicaid offices.

The Denali KidCare:
This program provides care for children and young adults. The program is similar to a Preferred Provider Organization benefit plan in that providers must be enrolled as a provider with the State of Alaska in order to provide services to eligible patients. Those providers who are not enrolled with the State of Alaska as Denali Kid Care providers may not provide services to eligible patients under the program. Providers enrolled in the program are generally reimbursed in accordance with a fee schedule established by the Medicaid program and generally represents an approximate 30% reduction in normal fees.
