Addiction Assistance

The following resources are available to members of the Dental Family who are seeking help in dealing with substance abuse:

 

Dentists of Alaska Recovery Effort – better known as DARE
is available to Alaskan dentists who have a colleague they believe has a problem with alcohol and substance abuse or who is personally struggling with alcohol and substance abuse.  If you think you or someone you know may have a problem, please call the Alaska Dental Society admin office at 907-563-3003.  All inquiries are kept confidential.

 

You have patients to be concerned about and to contend with.  You have family obligations and responsibilities.  You have staff who need your guidance and direction.  You have a small business that needs leadership and management.

Medicaid drops hold harmless clause from provider agreement

Medicaid Provider Agreement drops the hold harmless clause that for too many years proved to be a barrier to dentists participating in Medicaid. Unfortunately, current Medicaid providers must wait until April 2012 to be free of the onerous contractual provision, while new providers can begin immediately to participate without the burden of this clause in their agreement with the State of Alaska.
